It would not be a complete Australian Bush experience without being loved by kangaroo ticks. Overnight, camping at Winjana Gorge, the little fella's snuggled in and attached themselves to most of us. Colin had at least 5 stuck to him. Jim had a few. Steve, Leanne, and Cyd also had at least one. Somehow I managed to escape the experience. They must not like cold Canadian blood.
Everyone put Polysporin over them to suffocate them, and then they had to be tweezed out. They have left a bit of a red mark, which hopefully with disappear shortly. Luckily they were not Canadian deer ticks who carry the terrible Lime disease.
Gotta have the complete Aussie bush experience!
